We repair all the damage to bearing seal areas and the external housing as well as repair damage to internal components such as gearing or shafts. If they are beyond repair or if the customer prefers to swap them out we can replace them with OEM Direct Parts or Manufacture the parts in house. IndustrialGearbox.Net has a gear manufacturing division which can manufacture any sized gear up to 20 feet in diameter and we can even match the exact same material and rockwell/brinell hardness ratings as the OEMS. Some customers opt for this option as it can save time on the repair as well as money. We also warranty any manufactured component for 24 months.
Once your gearing is replaced we replace all bearings and seals as well. We never use hydraulic presses to press on bearings as it can damage the bearing resulting with operational issues with the gearbox and it could also be dangerous as the bearing can split and explode. We use the Timken Certified method of shrinking the shafts with liquid nitrogen before placing the super heated bearings on top allowing gravity to perform the installation for us and locking in place with the transfer of thermal energy. We then begin to reassemble your gearbox and once complete we coat the gearbox in a polymer designed to reduce vibration and overheating before moving your gearbox over to our QC department where it is placed on a custom built test bench to run for 6 hours to ensure that it does not leak, vibrate or overheat.
